Pantech Wireless Inc. in Atlanta, Ga., and its parent company in Seoul, Korea, have been breaking new ground in mobile phone design for nearly 20 years.

1991

Pantech Co. Ltd. is founded in Seoul, Korea. Three years later, the company launches Korea’s first messaging pager, the first in a series of innovations.

2001

Pantech corporate merges with mobile phone manufacturer Hyundai Curitel.

2003

Pantech officially launches U.S. operations when it begins selling Pantech mobile phones through AT&T Wireless.

2005

Pantech corporate merges with mobile phone manufacturer SKY Teletech Co. Ltd.

2007

Pantech releases the world’s smallest camera flip phone, the C300.

2008

Pantech releases the world’s thinnest messaging device, the Pantech Slate, in the U.S. market.

2010

Pantech begins selling mobile phones through Verizon.
