Are there other languages on this phone?
Yes, there is a Spanish language option.

Go to Menu > Toolbox > Settings > Setup/Others > Language > Select Espanol.



How much internal memory is available? Is there an external memory?
There is 28 MB of available memory. No external memory slot.



How many speed dial can I store?
You can store up to 20 speed dials. Speed dial #1 is preset for voicemail.



What is the 1X signal indicator mean?
1X indicates your phone is using the 1X digital service.



I want to see who's calling me before I answer the call. Can I set it to answer by pressing a button?
Yes. By default, flipping the phone will answer the call. You can set it to off. Then you'll have to press the green handset button to answer a call.

Go to Menu > Toolbox > Settings > Setup/Others > Flip Activation > Select Off.



What is the maximum resolution of the camera?
There are three resolution settings: High (480 x 640 pixels), Med High (240 x 320 pixels), Med Low (144 x 176 pixels) or Low (120 x 160 pixels). The photo size appears on the top left of the LCD screen.



I try to take a picture and the screen looks weird and not normal. What's wrong?
There is an image effect feature in this phone such as Normal, Gray, Sepia, and Negative. It may have been set to an image effect other than Normal.

In the Camera mode, go to Options > Pix Controls > Image effect > Select Normal.



How can I transfer the picture I took to my computer?
To transfer the image to a computer, you can attach the image file to a Pix Message and send it to an email address. Save your attachment to your computer when opening up your email. Other option to upload via an application may be available from your service provider.



How do I send a message to a group that's dedicated on my phone?
You can only select a contact at a time when sending a message. Add up to ten recipients.



What is the difference between Voice Dial and Voice Recorder?
Voice Dial is for recording your voice and then assigning a contact to it. Voice Recorder, on the other hand, is for recording your voice as a file in the voice gallery. You can use it as a message attachment in Text Messaging or Pix Messaging.

To record a name for Voice Dial:
  • Go to Menu > Contacts > Voice Dial > Record New.
  • After the recording, you will be prompted to assign a contact to it. Choose the contact.

  • To use Voice Dial:
  • Hold the SEND key, wait for prompt, and say the name.

  • To record a voice message:
  • Go to Menu > Toolbox > Voice Recorder > Record Voice.
  • After the recording, you can save it or send it via PIX message.



  • How do I set up the Bluetooth device to work with the handset?
    Common Bluetooth device is a headset or a computer. Both the device and handset must be paired in order for communication between them.
    Follow the steps below:
    1) Turn on the Bluetooth device, set it to Discovery Mode, and place it near the handset.
    2) On the handset, go to Menu > Toolbox > Tools > Bluetooth > Power and set it to ON. The Bluetooth icon should appear in the top line of the screen.
    3) Go to Device Scan to search for the Bluetooth device.
    5) Once the device is found, select the device and press the soft key PAIR.
    6) Enter the Bluetooth device code. Normally, the default is ?0000?.



    Why is my Family locator not working on my phone?
    Family locator is a service and must be activated by the service provider. Also, the handset location must be set to "location on" to allow the network to locate the handset.

    Go to Menu > Toolbox > Settings > Setup/Others > Location > Select Location On.



    How do I conserve battery and why is my battery losing power so fast?
    Your handset is constantly consuming power when it is on, similar to turning on the radio with the speaker volume off. You can conserve your battery by turning off Bluetooth if it's not being use, or change your display backlight for the LCD and keypad to turn off at a shorter time and dimming to off.

    Your handset also consumer power more or less, depending on where you are. The handset is automatically increasing and decreasing power to communicate with the nearby base station. If you are farther from the base station, your handset will increase power to strengthen the signal; hence, you may see a faster discharge of battery power. Another phenomenon is: your handset feels like it's warmer during a call.



    Can I remove the antenna and replace it with another type?
    No, it is not recommended that you replace the handset with an antenna that is not specifically designed for this handset. Your handset is tested and complied with the FCC regulation. Other antenna can cause your handset not to work properly. If your antenna is broken, contact your dealer or the place of purchase for assistance.



    What is the rubber cover and the port in the back of the handset near the antenna?
    That is a port used by the technician to test or calibrate the handset. It is recommended that the cover not be removed to keep the inside of the handset free from debris.



    What is the rubber cover at the bottom of the phone? Is it a port that I can connect to my computer?
    That is a data or charger port. Technician use this port to upgrade your software, should there be a need to. There is no data cable or software available to consumer for this particular model.



    What is not covered under the limited warranty?
    You can find the limited warranty statement on the website or in the user manual, which list the conditions.



    Can I play games on my phone while I?m on an airplane?
    This model doesn?t have a flight mode where the phone Radio Frequency can be turned off. Hence, playing games on the phone may not be allowed during flight.



    What is the safety of Radio Frequency exposure?
    You can find the safety information in the user manual. It is important that you are aware of the safety guideline on operating your wireless phone.
