    1. To copy audio files from a PC onto this card, connect your phone to the computer via USB data cable. 
    2. Tap Media Transfer (MTP mode) from the pop-up list shown on your phone screen to sync music files between computer and your phone using the Windows Media Player. 
    3. Or tap USB Mas Storage (UMS mode) to copy or move files manually from computer to your phone.

    [Note] MTP connection or USB storage must be turned on after connecting to the PC to enable file transfer.

    To stop any application from running in the background:

    1. Press Menu key at Home screen.
    2. Tap Manage Apps > Running.
    3. Find out what applications are running in the background and tap the application you want to block. Tap Stop.

    Can I use my Pantech Pocket as a wireless modem?

    Yes, but you must have an AT&T wireless account. There are two ways to make your phone as a wireless modem. Choose any of the below steps.

    To use the USB tethering:

    1. Connect your phone to PC with the data cable.
    2. Press the Menu key from the Home screen. 
    3. Tap Settings > Wireless & networks >Tethering & portable hotspot > USB tethering.
    4. Your PC can now access the internet via connection with my Pantech Pocket. 

    To make your phone a portable Wi-Fi hotspot:

    1. Press the Menu key from the Home screen 
    2. Tap Settings > Wireless & networks >Tethering & portable hotspot > Portable Wi-Fi hotspot.
    3. Your phone can now offer the internet connection to other devices around you.

    To configure settings for a portable Wi-Fi hotspot:

    1. Press the Menu key from the Home screen 
    2. Tap Settings > Wireless & networks >Tethering & portable hotspot > Portable Wi-Fi hotspot settings > Configure Wi-Fi hotspot.
    3. Enter a name for Network SSID. (e.g. P9060) Check Hide SSID if you want to hide the SSID. 
    4. Tap WPA2 PSK for Security and enter the related items if you want to allow limited devices to access the internet via your phone. Tap Save. 

    [Note] USB tethering only works with PCs that run Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Linux and disables mounting your microSD on PC. When your phone is serving as a portable Wi-Fi hoptspot, you cannot use applications to access the internet via its Wi-Fi connection.

    To clear the browser data: 

    1. Within the browser, press the Menu key.
    2. Tap More > Settings.
    3. Scroll down to the bottom and select the data you would like to clear (cache, history, cookie data, etc.) and tap OK.

    [Note] If you want to clear all browser data, scroll down and tap Reset to Default. Tap OK.

    To share images with friends: 

    1. While you are viewing a picture, tap Menu > Share. When you have captured an image, just tap Share.
    2. Select via what application you want to share the image (Picasa, Twitter, Bluetooth, Facebook, Gmail, Messaging, Email) and follow the prompts. 

    [Note] To upload your picture on Picasa web albums, make sure you have registered your Google account on Picasa, If you have not, visit the Google website from a computer, register your Google account to Picasa and then, re-sign in to Google on your phone. To do this, you may have to remove the previous Google account and re-set up on your phone.

    PC Suite Connector enables communication between your phone and Pantech PC Suite. Pantech PC Suite is the Windows based PC program that enables you to manage your device. For example, you can sync your outlook contacts with your phone's contacts using Pantech PC Suite.

    To use Pantech PC Suite:

    1. Go to the Pantech website (http://www.pantechusa.com/) from your Windows based PC. 
    2. Find and install the PC Suite on your Windows based PC.
    3. Connect your phone to PC using USB or via Wi-fi following the instruction on Pantech PC Suite.

    Yes. To move saved applications to your microSD card:

    1. Press the Menu key at Home screen and tap Manage Apps.

    3. Tap Move to SD card under Storage.

    [Note] Applications may be movable or unmovable to microSD card depending on their property. If Move to SD card is not highlighted, it means the application is only stored in internal memory of your phone. Related widgets may disappear from the Home screen once you change the storage location of the application.

    You can adjust the backlight settings by pressing the Menu key at the Home screen and tapping Settings > Display. In this section, you will find options to alter the Brightness, Auto-rotate screen, Animation and also Screen timeout interval.

    [Note] Depending on the backlight settings, your phone battery life will differ. To preserve the battery power, adjust to lower Brightness, No animations and the shortest Screen timeout interval.

    To set the classic ringtone for all incoming calls:

    1. Press the Menu key at the Home screen. Tap Settings > Sound > Phone ringtone.

    [Note] All music and voice records in your microSD card will appear in the ringtones list, only if the file size is under 300KB. You cannot set a ringtone for a file bigger than 300KB.

    Document Viewer enables you to read documents in a variety of formats that are stored in your phone.

    To read documents:

    1. Go to Document Viewer from Applications list.
    2. Select a folder where you have stored documents.
    3. Tap a document to read.
    4. Tap anywhere on the screen while a document is open to see zoom in/out, move to previous/next page buttons. 

    To move to a page or search for words in a document:

    1. Go to Document Viewer from Applications list.
    2. Select a folder where you have stored documents. Open a document.
    3. Press the Menu key and tap Go to Page. Enter a page number to go and tap Ì.
    4. Press the Menu key and tap Word Search. Enter a word and tap the icon on the right side of the search box to see the word tht you have searched for in the next sentence or page. Tap Done if you want to stop searching for the word. 

    To share, delete or rename a document:

    1. Go to Document Viewer from Applications list.
    2. Select a folder where you have stored documents. 
    3. Touch and hold on a document you want to share, delete or rename. 
    4. Tap one of the options and follow the prompts.

    • You can add multiple accounts. Press the Menu key at the Home screen and tap Settings > Accounts & sync > Add account. There is no limited number of accounts you can add, but adding multiple accounts may cause the lagging performance of your phone. 
    • To remove an Email account, press the Menu key on the Email application home screen, tap More > Accounts. Touch and hold on the account you want to remove and select Remove account from the pop-up menu list. 
    • To remove a Gmail account, pree the Menu key at the Home screen and tap Settings > Accounts & sync. Tap the Gmail account you want to remove an tap Remove account.

    To adjust the in-call volume, press the volume +/- keys on the left side of your phone while you are on a call. 

    To adjust the ringer volume, press the volume +/- keys on the left side of your phone as well on any of the Home screens. When you set up to no volume at all, your phone will vibrate to let you know that phone is changed to silent mode.

    Make sure you have turned on the Wi-Fi and choose any of the below steps.

    To connect to a Wi-Fi network:

    2. Scroll down and navigate through the searched Wi-Fi networks. Select one and tap Connect. 
    3. If it is a secured network, enter a correct password and tap Connect. 
    4. Once you connect to a network, this configuration including the password is saved and will be remembered on your phone. 

    In case you are using the WPS connection with your Wi-Fi Access Point (router):

    1. Press the Menu key at the Home screen. Tap Settings > Wireless & networks > Wi-Fi settings > WPS connection.
    2. If you choose the Button connection, press WPS button on your AP. 
    3. If you choose the PIN connection, enter the PIN at your AP or system administrator web page. 

    In case the wireless network you are trying to connect is configured for static IP addresses only:

    1. Check with the system administrator to obtain an IP address assignment. 
    2. Once you have the information, press the Menu key on the Home screen. 
    3. Tap Settings > Wireless & networks > Wi-Fi settings. 
    4. Press the Menu key and tap Advanced. Tap Use static IP and input the necessary information. 

    To disconnect to a Wi-Fi network:

    1. Press the Menu key at the Home screen. Tap Settings > Wireless & networks > Wi-Fi settings.
    2. Scroll down and tap on the network you want to disconnect or remove the remembered configuration.

    First you have to set up your Microsoft Exchange email account and/or Google account on your phone. Once this is done:

    1. Press the Menu key at the Home screen. Tap Settings > Accounts & Sync. 
    2. Scroll down and tap the account that you want to sync.
    3. Tap Sync Contacts, Calendar, etc.

    I want to sync my Pantech Pocket with my Mac, am I able to use PC Suite to do this?

    No. Your PC Suite for my Pantech Pocket is not compatible with Apple Mac. However, you can copy and manage files between your phone's microSD card and PC via USB Mass Storage mode of your phone after connecting to PC using the data cable.

    Market is an application that links to the Anroid Market™ where an Android user can download all the kinds of applications (for free or payable).

    [Note] You need at least one Google account (active user ID and password for Gmail) on your phone to access Market. If you already have a registered account, sign in. If you do not have an account, create one first and sign in.

    Pantech Pocket runs Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread). You can check this information under Menu > Settings > About phone > Android version.

    Can I access to the downloaded applications on my Pantech Pocket if I change my Google account?

    No. Once you change your Google account, you will not have an access to all previously downloaded applications.

    Yes. You can add your own signature to all outgoing emails:

    1. Go to Email application (tap to choose an email account if you have multiple ones) and press the Menu key.
    2. Tap More > Account settings, scroll down and select Edit signature.
    3. Compose your own signature and tap Save.
    4. Tap Signature auto-append > Append on compose > OK to automatically affix your signature to all outbound emails. 

    [Note] You can set a different signature for different accounts on your phone. But, if you compose an email from the Email application home screen, the only signature set for the default account will be appended. If you select an account from the Email application home screen and compose an email within that screen, the signature set for that account will be appended.

    No. Automatic power on and off setting is not supported on my Pantech Pocket.

    Yes. You can claim for refund within a short time after your purchase (e.g. within 15 minutes after your purchase): 

    1. Go to Market application, press the Menu key and tap My apps. 
    2. Select the application you would like to get refund from the downloaded applications list that appears on My apps.
    3. When you get a refund, your credit card is not charged and the application is uninstalled from your phone.

    [Note] Refund policy is prescribed by Google™ or the developer of the application, and Pantech is not responsible for precessing the refund for paid applications.

    Yes. my Pantech Pocket runs Android OS version 2.3 (Gingerbread), and thus supports multi-accounts. To add accounts: 

    1. Press Menu key at Home screen.
    2. Tap Settings > Accounts & sync > Add account > Google and follow the prompts.

    Yes. All previously donwloaded applications are listed and available for download (without being charged again in case of payable applications) at below address: 

    1. Go to Market application. 
    2. Press the Menu key and tap My apps to view the list of downloaded applications on your phone.
    3. Select the application you would like to reinstall on your phone.

    If you have turned on the USB debugging mode:

    1. To check the USB debugging mode, press the Menu key from the Home screen and tap Settings > Application > Development > USB debugging. Tap OK. 
    2. Once you have allowed the USB debugging with the microSD card in your phone, connect it to your PC using the data cable.
    3. When your phone is connected to the PC, open the Notifications panel by touching and dragging down the status bar on the top of your screen. 
    4. Tap USB Connected and then Turn on USB storage button. Tap OK.
    5. Next, on your PC, go to My Computer and you will see a list which actually in your phone's microSD card. Open the drive and make desired changes.

    If you are not using the USB debugging fuction on your phone:

    1. To check the USB debugging mode, press the Menu key from the Home screen and tap Settings > Application > Development > USB debugging to turn it off. Make sure it is not highlighted. 
    2. Connect your phone to a PC with the data cable.
    3. When your phone is connected to the PC, a pop-up menu will appear. Select USB Mass Storage and then tap Turn on USB storage button.
    4. On your PC, go to My Computer and open the removable disk drive, where you will see a list of files same as in your microSD card. Open the folders and make desired changes.

    To change the Bluetooth visibility options on your phone:

    1. Press the Menu key at the Home screen and tap Settings.

    3. Tap Discoverable if you let other people to find and pair with your phone. Note that this status lasts for 120 seconds.

    2. Tap a marketplace category, or tap Search icon to enter a term and search all categories.

    To download applications:

    1. While browsing the marketplace, tap on the desired application.
    2. Tap Install.
    3. Tap OK to allow the application access, if necessary.
    4. When the application is successfully downloaded to your device, you will see a Notifier icon in the Notification Drawer.
    5. Tap the Notifier icon to finish installation steps or to launch the application. The installed applications will also appear in the list of Applications. 

    [Note] The applications you download from Market have not been tested by Pantech or AT&T. All support for the application you choose is the responsibility of the developer of that application, not Pantech or AT&T.

    1. First customize your wallpaper, widgets, shortcuts, etc. 
    2. Once everything is configured, press Menu key at the Home screen, tap Themes, choose one from the Contextual themes, tap Done. 
    3. When the pop-up appears, tap Yes and then name your own theme to save it. 
    4. Once saved, this theme will be listed on on the Personal themes list where you can select to apply it on the Home screen. 
    5. To delete your theme, press the Menu key from the Themes home screen. Tap Delete, select the one you want to delete and tap Done.

    You can manage Themes as well in Menu on the Home screen > Settings > Personalize > Themes.

    Make sure you have turned on the GPS function before using Navigation. 

    To search the destination:

    1. Go to Navigation from Applications list.
    2. Tap Speak Destination or Type Destination to search the destination. Select a destination from the search results when there are many possilbe destinations.

    To find directions:

    1. Go to Navigation from Applications list.
    2. Tap Accept on the screen on caution if you agree. 
    3. Tap Get Directions if the navigation service is not available in your region.
    4. Enter the name of the End point or tap the icon next to the search box and tap Point on map to manually set an End point on the map. 
    5. Choose the transportation type and tap Go.

    To check the traffic conditions:

    1. Press the Menu key while you are running Navigation and ta Route Info. 
    2. Flick the screen along the suggested route to the destination. Depending on the traffic conditions, the road appears in green (good), yellow (congested) or red (jammed).

    News and Weather offers news in various field and weather information in your region. 

    To view weather information:  

    1. Go to News and Weather from Applications list.
    2. The weather information on your current location is provided by default on weekly basis. 
    3. Tap in the middle of the screen to check the weather forecast throughout the day. 
    4. Scroll your finger to the left or right to see weather information for a certain time of the day.

    To view news information:

    1. Go to News and Weather from Applications list.
    2. Tap the news category next to Weather tap on top of the screen to view articles by category.  
    3. Select an article if you want to see the full story.

    To customize the app:

    1. Press the Menu key at News and Weather home screen and tap Settings. 
    2. Tap Weather settings to change the location you want to obtain weather information and/or to change the units to show. 
    3. Tap News settings to manage news topics and/or prefetch articles. 
    4. You can add your own topic of interest in Select news topics > Custom topic. Enter the title and tap OK. You can see articles related to the title.

    RSS Reader helps check updated news from various sources. 

    To set up RSS Reader on your phone:

    1. Go to RSS Reader from Applications list, tap All channels > Add Channel.
    2. If you choose URL, enter the title and URL of the channel, tap Category to select a relevant one or create a new one and tap Done. 
    3. To choose Google Reader, you must register your Google account first in RSS Reader > press the Menu key > Settings > User name. Once it is saved, choose Google Reader, select a channel and tap Add. 
    4. If you choose Recommendation, select a category you want to add, select a channel and tap Save.

    To manage categories:

    1. Go to RSS Reader from Applications list.
    2. Tap Categories in RSS Reader home screen, press the Menu key and tap Edit category. 
    3. Tap Create New or press the Menu key. 
    4. Tap Delete to remove unwanted categories. (You cannot delete ETC as default.)

    To configure news feeds automatic update settings and more, press the Menu key in RSS Reader home screen and tap Settings. 

    You can also receive feeds from the Home screen by setting a widget:

    1. Touch and hold on the Home screen. 
    2. Tap Widgets > Pantech Widgets > RSS Reader.

    You can form a group with your friends through S-Board and share contents and logs that you have created using Pantech Pocket. Please note that this application is only supported in the landscape mode, via MMS and requires per-basis fee for usage.

    To set up S-Board on your phone:

    1. Go to S-Board from Applications list.
    2. Tap Create New. Add a photo from Gallery, enter the Group Name and the name or phone number of a member that you want to invite to the group. (You can also add from your Contacts list by tapping the persion icon.) 
    3. Tap the star icon if you want to make the group as your favorite. 
    4. When you are done, tap Next on the top right of the screen. 
    5. Enter a message and tap Send. 

    To share media with your friends using S-Board:

    1. Go to S-Board from Applications list.
    2. Tap Contents on the top left of the screen. 
    3. Tap a content icon and select a desired one from a corresponding application. 
    4. Move the attached icon. Resize the icon if it is resizable and tap Share.

    To configure S-Board settings:

    1. Press the Menu key on the S-Board home screen.
    2. You can Edit and/or Delte group and Add and/or Delete members. 
    3. To delete logs, tap Logs. Press the Menu key and tap Delete Logs. Select and tap logs you want to remove. Tap Done.

    Stocks provides the current stock market condition in sync with Google Finance™ by default. Check and establish your investment strategy with my Pantech Pocket. 

    To view the current stock market information: 

    1. Go to Stocks from Applications list. You can see the overall stock market conditions for the moment. 
    2. Select an index in the list to view related infromation.
    3. Tap Prev or Next in the middle of the screen or tap on the graph, if you want to adjust the period of fluctuation, which is set to One Day by default. 
    4. To view related news articles, scroll the screen downwards and select an article to view the full story.

    To use various functions available at Stocks:

    1. To share the stock market information, press the Menu key, tap Share, select a tool and follow the necessary steps. 
    2. To set alerts, tap Alert, enter the value for Above and Below.
    3. To write notes, tap Notes. Tap on the screen and write a message. Notes will appear at the bottom of the index page. 

    To adjust the index list and customize the settings for Stocks:

    1. On the Stocks home screen, tap and hold on the index to Rename it or Delete from the current list. 
    2. If you want to add a stock market index to the list, select Switch to edit mode.
    3. Tap on the box in the bottom of the screen, enter the name of the index and tap +. 
    4. Press the Menu key and tap Settings. Customize the Appearance of stock chart, Alert tones and refresh interval. 

    You can also set the Stocks widget on the Home screen:

    1. Touch and hold on the Home screen.
    2. Tap Widgets > Android WIdgets > Stocks. 
    3. Select a market in the portfolio list and tap Save.

    Talk is an instant messaging service provided by Google™. To use Talk, go to Talk from Applications list and sign in to your Google account. 

    To change your profile:

    1. Tap the highlighted bar on the top of the screen where your Gmail address is displayed. 
    2. Tap the Status bar to change your status or enter your custom status in the message box. (You can clear custom messages by pressing the Menu key and tapping Clear custom messages.)
    3. Tap My picture to select a picture from your Gallery. Tap Done.

    To add friends and start conversations:

    1. Press the Menu key on Talk home screen and tap Add friend. 
    2. Enter the user name of the friend you want to add and tap Send invitation. 
    3. When a friend accepts your invitation, it will be notified and apper on the list at Talk. 
    4. To start a chat, tap one of the friend, enter a message and tap Send. 
    5. Press the Menu key, tap Add to chat if you want another friend to join the conversation.

    In case your device would not power on, please try any of the steps below: 

    1. Check if the battery is drained. Charge your battery for a few minutes then try power on again.
    2. Remove any debris or residue found on device or battery terminal with a soft and dry cloth. 
    3. Check if the battery is seated correctly on the device. 
    4. Press the Power button for at least 2 seconds to make sure you turn off the device.

    The latest software for your device is not available online. You can find your device software information in Menu > Settings > AT&T software update > Check for updates. If a new version is available for download, please update your device. 

    [Note] When downloading the software, we highly recommend you to connect to Wi-Fi network instead of using 3G network in order to fasten the download speed and avoid the heavy charges for using 3G data services.

    If your device has a problem not responding or slowing down, you may try a hard reset by removing and reinserting the battery. 

    If you would like to erase all data on your device, please do a Factory data reset. To do this, go to Settings. Tap Privacy > Factory data reset > Reset device > Erase everything. We recommend you back up your data before doing Factory data reset because it will delete your Google account information and all downloaded applications on your device including ringtones. However, factory data reset will not erase the data saved on the SIM card and microSD card.

    You can use a USB data cable to connect the Pantech device to your PC, or you can use Wi-Fi or Bluetooth if your PC is compatible.

    Battery seems to drop really quickly. What can I do to conserve power?

    Please make sure your battery is charged fully before use. Nevertheless, some features such as playing the media files, using camera or camcorder, running applications in the background, constantly syncing email and using Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, can drain the battery more quickly than usual. 

    Below suggestions would help conserve the power:

    1. Close all applications running in the background when not in use. 
    2. Close all applications before turning the display off. 
    3. Try not to use certain features for continuous time (camera, camcorder, email syncing, browser, etc.)
    4. Turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth when not in use. 
    5. Turn off the connection to GPS satellites when not in use. 
    6. Adjust to shorter delay time for the screen to automatically turn off.
    7. Lower the display brightness.
    8. Stay in the area of good signal coverage while using the device. 
    9. Always charge with the Pantech authorized AC charger.

    Please try any of the steps below:

    1. Check if microSD card is correctly inserted in your device. Turn off your device, pull out microSD card, put it on again and turn on your device. 
    2. Ensure the microSD card is not damaged. Memory cards formatted in other devices PC may not be recognized in your device.
    3. Make sure microSD card is mounted on your device. Go to Settings > SD card &  device storage and check if Unmount SD card is highlighted or else tap Mount SD card after power cycling your device. 
    4. Format microSD card before moving any files to it. Format is only enabled when microSD card is inserted in your device and unmounted.
    5. If the file size to move or save onto your microSD card is too big, it takes longer time.

    What is Pantech's PC Suite?

    PC Suite enables communication between your device and compatible PC. Pantech PC Suite is the Windows based program that enables you to manage your device while connected to a compatible PC. For example, you can sync your outlook contacts with your phone's contacts using Pantech PC Suite.

    4. Wait until your PC to automatically search for the New Hardware Port and install the driver for your device. This takes 10-30 seconds according to PC specification. 
    5. When this is correctly intalled, your device will automatically open the Data Manager application and appear Connected. 
    6. You can now make the desired changes via PC Suite. 

    [Note] PC Suite for the Pantech Crossover works with Windows 2000 or XP family, Windows7 and Vista 32 bit. Your PC must have minimum 300MB of free disk space to install PC Suite.

    Check if Wi-Fi or 3G services are enabled in order to access the internet. These icons should be displayed on the top right side of your screen.

    If your device is in use for prolonged periods of time (e.g. talking on the device, playing music or video, browsing the web, running applications or charging the battery), it may become warmer than when in standby mode. In most cases, this condition is normal and therefore not a failure of the device.

    Please try any of the steps below if your device screen is not responsive:

    1. Check if the screen lock is set up. 
    2. If your device has a capacitative screen, tap it using finger tips. Touch pen does not work.
    3. If the screen or finger touching the screen is wet, it can cause a failure.
    4. Some applications make touch screen not responsive. 
    5. Protective film on touch screen may make touch screen less responsive.
    6. Your device may become slow, if you are running many applications at the same time. Pleae close all applications, go back to Home screen and try again. 
    7. Turn off your device, remove and insert the battery again. Turn the device on and check if the screen is responsive.

    What is a SIM card?

    The SIM card is the Subscriber Identity Module card that you receive with your device upon activation. It contains your network registration information and PIN code. The SIM card is physically installed in your device and one of its primary functions is to identify your device uniquely - apart from all other devices on the carrier's network.

  • Camera does not take a picture and/or videos.

    Camera does not take a picture and/or videos.

    Please try any of the steps below, if your camera does not work:

    1. Make sure you have inserted and mounted microSD card onto your device. Camera only takes pictures with microSD card.
    2. Check if camera lens is dirty and clean the lens with a soft, dry cloth first. 
    3. Check if a seal is attached on the lens, please remove. 
    4. Take a picture in an area of adequate light and reamin still until the shutter sound is gone to avoid taking faded picture.

    I was using the Android pattern lock and have forgotten the unlock pattern.

    You are allowed to enter a pattern for five times and after that, you will be asked to wait for 30 seconds before you can try again. If you continuously enter the wrong pattern, your device will be permanently locked and only be unlocked with your Google account. In case you have forgotten the unlock pattern:

    If you cannot recall the unlock pattern and has the Google account set up on your device, tap OK > Forgot Pattern? on the bottom of your screen. Sign in with your Google account and create a new unlock pattern. If you know your Google account address, but have forgotten the its password, please visit http://www.gmail.com on a computer. From the Gmail login page, click on the Can't access your account? and follow the prompts to have Gmail send you a password change request link to your other email address. When you have received a new login information, use that information to unlock your device following steps above.

    If you cannot recall the unlock pattern and does not have the Google account set up on your device, there is no way to unlock the device. Please return your device to obtain repair or replacement service. Make sure to check with your carrier or Pantech technical support center if your device is eligible for warranty service. 

    [Note] Please try not to set up a complicated unlock pattern that is easy to forget. Your device will be still locked when restarted.

  • Keyboard and/or keypad is not working.

    Keyboard and/or keypad is not working.

    Some applications do not allow keyboard/keypad inputs. Try working keys in other screen, and if the problem does not go away, restart your device after disconnecting the battery.

  • My device has a weak Wi-Fi signal and fails to connect to a Wi-Fi network.

    My device has a weak Wi-Fi signal and fails to connect to a Wi-Fi network.

    Make sure you are in a Wi-Fi service area and covered with strong Wi-Fi signal. The number of bars in Wi-Fi icon shows the signal strength. 

    1. Try access the internet near the Wi-Fi access point (router).
    2. Visit the AT&T Wi-Fi Hot Spots saved at Bookmark in the web. Find the AT&T Wi-Fi Hotspot locations near your site. 

    If the problem is not solved, try any of the steps below:

    1. Check if Wi-Fi connection is turned on in Menu > Settings > Wireless & network settings. 
    2. Check if the password is correct. If a wrong password is configured, tap Forget network after selecting Remembered or Disabled network to remove configuration. After that, input the correct password and tap Connect again.
    3. Wi-Fi connection may fail by a possible radio interference with Bluetooth signal. Turn off Bluetooth and try connecting to Wi-Fi again. 
    4. The wireless network you are trying to connect may be configured for static IP addresses only. Check with the system administrator to obtain an IP address assignment. Once you have the information, go to Menu > Settings > Wireless & networks > Wi-Fi settings. Press Menu key > Advanced. Tap Use static IP and input the information. 
    5. Turn power off your AP (router) and the device. Turn on your AP first and wait for 1 minute before you turn on your device to re-connect to Wi-Fi. 
    6. Your AP (router) may require WPS connection. To do this, go to Settings > Wireless & networks > Wi-Fi settings > WPS connection. If you choose Button connection, press WPS button on your AP. If you choose PIN connection, enter PIN at your AP or system administrator web page. 

    [Note] If too many people are connected to one Wi-Fi network, your device may fail to access Wi-Fi due to congestion.

  • How long should it take to charge my battery?

    How long should it take to charge my battery?

    Charging time varies for each device. Charging time will also vary depending on the battery's voltage when charging is started. Generally speaking, for all batteries and all battery conditions, a full charge should be completed in less than 4 hours using the Pantech AC charging adaptor. If you are charging with a USB cable connected to a PC, the time to achieve a full charge may be longer. In either case, it will take longer than usual if you use the device while charging.

    [Note] If the battery level is 10% or below, charging with AC adaptor is highly recommended. For Tablets and Smart Phones which usually carry a high capacity battery, you should use the Pantech AC charging adaptor for the best possible performance.

  • Compass would not work correctly.

    Compass would not work correctly.

    When Compass does not work correctly, hold your device and draw a 8 for 5 times in a non-magnetic environment. Make sure to use only your wrist.

    [Note] There is no setting or application to adjust the digital compass sensor. While drawing 8, it will automatically make correction.

    1. Make sure your device is disconnected from the PC first.

    5. Connect your device to the PC with the USB data cable.

    8. You can now make the desired changes via PC Suite.

    Applications are force closed down at once.

    Applications may come to shut down altogether at once when you are running several applications simultaneously. This happens due to the memory capability of the device and is not a defect to be repaired or exchanged with new device. 

  • My device is frozen or locked-up. What can I do?

    Try to power cycle your device using the normal on-off button or icon. If this doesn't work, you can force a hard reset by removing the battery, reinserting it, and turning the device on again. For devices with an internal battery which is not removable by the end user (e.g. Pantech P4100 Element tablet), please refer to the FAQs for your specific device.

    If your device would not read the installed micorSD card, try any of the steps below:

    1. Check if microSD card is correctly inserted in your device. Turn off your device, pull out microSD card, put it on again and turn on your device.

    3. Make sure microSD card is mounted on your device. Go to Settings > SD card &  device storage and check if Unmount SD card is highlighted or else tap Mount SD card after power cycling your device. 
    4. Try formatting microSD card. Format is only enabled when microSD card is inserted in your device and unmounted. 
    5. If your device is connected to PC, device cannot access microSD card for PC to read it. Disconnect your device from PC and then try again.

    Please try any of the steps below accroding to your problem: 

    1. If a photo is too dark or too light, adjust the Exposure Setting by selecting the Exposure icon (that looks like a sun) and changing the brightness level.
    2. If the picture quality is grainy, adjust the Resolution Setting. 3 megapixel (2048x1536) images are optimal for best resolution. 
    3. If a picture is not in focus, select Auto Focus mode in Camera Settings. 
    4. Check if camera lens is dirty and clean the lens with a soft, dry cloth. 
  • My device appears to be connected to a Wi-Fi network, but cannot use the internet.

    Please try any of the steps below:

    1. Try a different URL or web page first. 
    2. Turn off Wi-Fi and try connecting to the network again. 
    3. Wi-Fi connection may fail by a possible radio interference with Bluetooth signal. Turn off Blueooth and try connecting to Wi-Fi again. 
    4. If you are connected to a commercial Wi-Fi hotspot, try renewing the hotspot's DHCP lease.
    5. Connection with your AP (router) may not be normal. Try reset your AP (router). Turn on your AP again and wait for 1 minute before you turn on your device to re-connect to Wi-Fi.

    If your device memory is full, it cannot send and/or receive text message. Please delete any meessages currently in your inbox and outbox to enable messaging. 

    If the problem is not solved, please try any of the steps below: 

    1. Check if you are in call service area.
    2. Check if your device is set on Airplane mode. Undo it. 
    3. Check if the SIM card is inserted correctly. 
    4. Check if you have not blocked certain messages such as Advertisement or messages from Anonymous Sender in Messaging Settings. 

    [Note] Text messaging is the feature provided from your carrier. You may have to add this feature to your plan and make a payment. At times, it may be disabled due to the problem on the carrier's end.

    In case Bluetooth connection is not functioning correctly, please try any of the steps below:

    1. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on your device.
    2. Check if the Bluetooth device you would like to pair is fully charged. 
    3. Make sure the Bluetooth device you are trying to pair is within 33 ft (10 meters) of your device. 
    4. Scan for devices first and attempt to pair when the device is found.
    5. Bluetooth connection may fail by a possible radio interference with Wi-Fi signal. Turn off Wi-Fi and try pairing with Bluetooth device again. 
    6. Bluetooth devices currently connected to other devices may not support pairing with your device. Turn off the connection of the other Bluetooth device first and try pairing it with your device.

    Try to power cycle your device using the normal on-off button or icon. If this doesn't work, you can force a soft reset by removing the battery, reinserting it, and turning the device on again.

    Please try any of the steps below and then send a test email: 

    1. Confirm your account's Username and Password in Incoming/Outgoing server settings. It may be due to Authentication error. 
    2. If the account is set up properly, but you cannot send an email through the email provider's server, change your Incoming and Outgoing settings in Account settings. Try sending an email with each Security type - SSL and SSL(Accept all certificates). 
    3. Turn off the Wi-Fi and try a test email using 3G. If Wi-Fi is already off, turn on and try it. 
    4. Try sending email using Gmail or other email account. It may be the problem of email service provider's end. 
    5. Turn off the device, turn it on again and try sending a test email.

    Applications may contain internal errors and do not open on your device. You can contact the developer of that application to report the errors:

    1. Launch Market on your device and Search for the application name. 
    2. Scroll down to Developer Info. You will be able to send email to developer or visit developer website.

    To display pictures stored on your microSD card using Gallery, make sure your device is not mounted as a USB storage device. (On the Pantech Crossover, turn off USB storage by tapping the Notification bar on top of your screen.) When connected to a PC and PC is reading memory, your device cannot access microSD card.

    The latest software for your device is not available online. You can find your device software information in Menu > Settings > AT&T software update > Check for updates. If a new version is available for download, please update your device.

    Check if the Music Player is actually running and playing a file. Make sure your have not lowered the media volume to 0.

    Charging time varies for each device. Charging time will also vary depending on the battery's voltage when charging is started. Generally speaking, for all batteries and all battery conditions, a full charge should be completed in less than 4 hours using the Pantech AC charging adaptor. If you are charging with a USB cable connected to a PC, the time to achieve a full charge may be longer. In either case, it will take longer than usual if you use the device while charging.
    [Note] If the battery level is 10% or below, charging with AC adaptor is highly recommended.

  • I cannot hear and/or be heard from the other side.

    If Mute icon is pressed during the call, you cannot hear or be heard from the other side. Please deactivate the Mute function.

    Your device could drop calls, if you are outside or far from the call service area. Please check the signal strength indicator on your device screen and move to the area with good coverage.

Please see where the internal antenna is embedded on your device from the user manual.

    Please download the compatible PC Suite with your Pantech Breeze IV and then connect to the PC:
    1. Go to www.pantechusa.com and find the compatible PC Suite for you model.
    2. Download and install the PC Suite and open it on your PC.
    3. Connect your device to the PC with the USB data cable.
    4. Wait for your PC to automatically search for the New Hardware Port and install the driver for your device. This takes 10-30 seconds according to PC specification.
    5. When the software is correctly installed, your device will automatically open the Data Manager application and appear Connected.
    6. You can now make the desired changes via PC Suite.
    [Note] PC Suite for the Pantech Breeze IV works with Windows 2000 or XP family, Windows7, Windows 8,  and Vista 32 bit. Your PC must have minimum 300MB of free disk space to install PC Suite.

    Please try any of the steps below:
    1. Check if microSD card is correctly inserted in your device. Turn off your device, pull out microSD card, put it in again and turn on your device.
    2. Ensure the microSD card is not damaged. Memory cards formatted in other devices PC may not be recognized in your device.
    3. Make sure microSD card is mounted on your device. Go to Settings > SD card &  device storage and check if Unmount SD card is highlighted or else tap Mount SD card after power cycling your device.
    4. Format microSD card before moving any files to it. Format is only enabled when microSD card is inserted in your device and unmounted.
    5. If the file size to move or save onto your microSD card is too big, it takes longer time.

    If your device is in use for prolonged periods of time (e.g. talking on the device, playing music or video, browsing the web, running applications or charging the battery), it may become warmer than when in standby mode. In most cases, this condition is normal and therefore not a failure of the device.

    The GPS signal reception may be interfered by obstacles such as bridges, forests, rainy, foggy or cloudy weather, tunnels, high-rise constructions, mountains, etc. It also cannot penetrate through solid and non-transparent objects. Please avoid these objects or area when connecting to GPS satellites.

    3. If a picture is not in focus, select Auto Focus mode in Camera Settings.
    4. Check if camera lens is dirty and clean the lens with a soft, dry cloth.
